IRS lands Boston Scientific with $525 million bill in transfer pricing dispute

Boston Scientific, an international producer of medical devices, announced on Tuesday that the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) in the US has issued the corporation with a notice of deficiency, outlining unpaid taxes and interest.
The IRS claims the company owes $525.1 million based on audits performed during the 2001, 2002 and 2003 tax years on Guidant, which Boston Scientific purchased in April 2006.
