Congressional transfer pricing hearing affirms arm’s-length standard

The House Ways and Means Committee’s hearing on transfer pricing issues revealed concern over US corporations’ ability to remain competitive internationally but did not disturb the general consensus around the arm’s-length standard.
The July 23 hearing provoked criticisms over the US international tax regime that ranged from disagreement with the application of the arms length standard to the countrys high corporate tax rate.
