Comments deadline extended on US disclosure requirement proposal

The deadline for interested parties to submit comments on the new disclosure requirement that would affect many US companies with international dealings has been extended until June 1 2010.
The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) also provided some clarification as to what exactly the new requirements will be. Announcement 2010-9, released in January revealed the Service's intention to require large taxpayers to provide information about their uncertain tax positions when filing their tax returns.
