Transfer pricing study targets football clubs

Transfer pricing theory has long been associated with transactions within multinational companies, but now it is being applied to the exchange of football players between English football [soccer] clubs.
A study carried out by NERA Economic Consulting has used standard transfer pricing theory to try and provide a level of semblance among Premiership (Englands top-tier football league) clubs who have recently become embroiled in escalating transfer fees for players.
