Transfer pricing audits start in Ecuador

As transfer pricing regulations have been changed each year since they were issued in December 2004, Ecuador seemed to be a less than probable candidate to start transfer pricing audits, reveals Alexis Carrera of Ernst & Young
Nonetheless, in the last few months, several companies have started receiving information requirements, based on an industry-focused strategy that the Ecuadorian SRI (Servicio de Rentas Internas or Internal Revenue Service,) seems to be following to implement a healthier transfer pricing environment.
