Ex-IRS transfer pricing specialist joins Ernst & Young

June 11, 2008

Williams moves over after leading transfer pricing at big-four firm

Edward Miller Williams, who was head of transfer pricing for a competing firm in the South East US, has joined Ernst & Young’s US transfer pricing team. He has more than 17 years of transfer pricing consulting experience - five with the US government and 12 in private practice. He will concentrate on complex transfer pricing matters with an emphasis on international transfer pricing controversy, advanced pricing agreements (APAs) and competent authority.

Prior to private practice, Williams worked as a senior attorney in the Office of Associate Chief Counsel (International) for the IRS in Washington DC, working on a variety of transfer pricing and international tax matters. As a member of that office, he worked in the APA programme, where he acted as lead attorney on many APA cases.
