On June 29 2007, the Norwegian Parliament (Stortinget) passed new rules regarding reporting and documentation of transactions concluded between related parties. The new rules entails that a significant number of Norwegian companies will be obligated to report internal transactions to the authorities. It is important to note that the rules do not discriminate between national and cross border transactions. Hence, companies whose internal transactions are confided within Norway will also be subject to the new rules. The finance ministry prescribed final regulations on transfer pricing filing and documentation requirements on December 7 2007.
