Bob Reynolds reports on new treaties finalised by Australia, Japan, Pakistan, India, Russia and Mexico
A series of high profile double tax treaties have been signed in the last ten days. Australia has concluded a critical deal with Japan. China and Hong Kong have ended two years of disagreements over their 2006 pact, and Pakistan and Japan have signed their own accord. Double tax treaties are critical in determining transfer prices between states and regularly include provisions which specifically refer to the elimination of double tax in transfer pricing cases.
